Anterior Labral (Bankart) Repair Rehab Protocol
Keys to a Successful Outcome
-
Since capsulolabral repair is performed with the arm in neutral rotation, any external rotation places stress on the repair. Precaution with external rotation should be taken during early rehabilitation.
-
No anterior glides until 8 weeks post-op
-
Ultimately, there may be a loss of internal rotation compared to the other shoulder, but the motion is usually adequate for most activities.
